The Ivytree Studio Story – Part 10: It's Launch Day!

It is LAUNCH DAY & a New Chapter begins...

Isaiah 43:19:

"Behold, I will do a new thing.

It springs out now.

Don’t you know it?"

Today marks the beginning of a brand-new chapter for Ivytree Studio.

After many weeks of rebuilding, designing, simplifying, planning, learning, and praying through yet another season of transition…

The new Ivytree Studio Store is officially live.

And honestly, this moment carries far more meaning for me than simply launching a new online store.

It represents growth.
Resilience.
Obedience.
Healing.
Creativity.

And the faithfulness of God through every single season that led here.

A Fresh Start for Ivytree Studio

After many years of building Ivytree Studio on Ecwid, I eventually realised that the business had outgrown the platform it was originally built on.

That realisation was not easy for me.

I tend to stay loyal to systems that work and environments that feel familiar. After more than a decade of building products, workflows, categories, downloads, classes, and customer experiences inside one platform, the idea of starting over felt incredibly overwhelming.

Especially in this current season of life.

But over time, the limitations became harder to ignore.

Pricing increased while flexibility decreased.

The creative and technological world evolved rapidly.

Customer expectations changed.

And I knew I needed a platform that could support long-term growth in a more modern and scalable way.

So after much prayer and consideration, I made the decision to move Ivytree Studio to Shopify.

For a long time, Shopify simply felt financially out of reach for a small creative business like mine. But in this current season, it unexpectedly became the more affordable and sustainable option moving forward.

And slowly, what initially felt intimidating became exciting.

As I rebuilt the store, I realised that this transition was giving me an opportunity to simplify, refine, and reimagine the entire customer experience in a healthier and more intentional way.

The new store now includes:

  • cleaner structure

  • simplified categories

  • a more modern checkout experience

  • improved automation

  • additional payment options

  • digital wallet support

  • currency conversion

  • visual product reviews

  • WhatsApp support

  • customer downloads and accounts

  • and much more still to come over time

This launch also marks a new creative direction for Ivytree Studio.

Over the coming months and years, I plan to continue expanding:

  • faith-based journaling resources

  • Bible studies

  • devotionals

  • printable collections

  • creative classes

  • memberships

  • physical products

  • artwork

  • journals

  • and many other creative projects the Lord may lead me toward

But at the heart of everything remains the same core purpose that God placed inside me years ago:

To create meaningful, beautiful resources that point people back to Jesus and encourage women to make God’s Word their HOME.

The Heart behind the Name

There is something deeply personal about the name Ivytree Studio.

Years ago, the original logo idea was inspired by an ivy plant growing around an old tree stump right outside my front door.

But later, God gave me a much deeper understanding of what the logo truly represented.

The little hearts that form the ivy leaves are not really about ivy at all.

They represent people.

The hearts of the many people this creative “tree” would touch through:

  • products

  • classes

  • retreats

  • journaling

  • conversations

  • emails

  • workshops

  • community

  • and quiet moments spent alone with God and a journal at home

Even the Silhouette cutting machine I bought years ago — which now quietly gathers dust in my studio — is significant to me because God gave me a dream and a vision about the word "Silhouette".

It is not significant because of what it cuts.

But because of the silhouettes of people connected through this journey over the years.

Every interaction.
Every story.
Every season.
Every creative moment shared.

And through it all, God has remained faithful.

This little artwork on His wall belongs entirely to Him.

New Kit Release in the New Store

I chose this weekend as the official Launch Date for the new store, and I did so for a couple of reasons.

First, it is my Gran's birthday, and I am named after her. She played a significant role in my Spiritual life, and I want to remember her, a mother of six, for her creativity and artful life. She had the most beautiful penmanship, baked like nobody's business, was an excellent seamstress, gifted at all handicrafts, sewing, crochet, knitting, smocking, made beautiful hats and more. She won prizes for her work and baking. She loved people and made friends easily. She and my grandad volunteered at a children's home and worked hard all of their lives. She lovingly raised her 6 kids, one of whom had Cystic Fibrosis. She died on my 29th birth and I will always remember her love for the Lord, her kids and me. She is one of my greatest inspirations in faith and life.

Secondly, it is my parent's 61 aniversary and also the anniversary date for a couple of other family members too. So, a significant date for my family all around. But the main reason I chose this date is that it signifies 10 years of Ivytree Studio, and in the future, when I want to remember when I launched my new store, I will easily be able to remember 8 May 2026.

It has also been Mother's Day weekend, and I create for women, so it is significant that on this past weekend I launched my new store and with it a Mother's Day Kit and Bible Study.

This new kit holds a full Gracelilly Bible Study on Psalm 62 and is named: Loving Embrace. Just like a Mother would embrace her child, so does God embrace us. Despite life and its challenges, I hold on to Jesus, but He holds on to me much more securely, and I know I can depend on Him to not let me down.

REFLECTION

Looking back over this journey, one thing stands out above everything else:

God wastes nothing.

Not the waiting seasons.
Not the painful seasons.
Not the creative seasons.
Not the quiet seasons.
Not even the seasons where I wanted to give up completely.

He faithfully weaves all of it together with purpose and grace.

And I hope this story encourages you to look for His hand in your own story, too.

WHAT'S NEXT?

Thank you for walking this journey with me.

Thank you for supporting Ivytree Studio through every season of growth and change over the years.

And thank you for stepping into this next chapter with me.

The new store is officially open and ready to welcome you.

More art.
More heart.
More Word.
